Our beloved T3 buses, I have one myself, are getting on a lot, there are new tent bellows but unfortunately they are not of the quality that Westfalia installed at the time. Replacing is not that easy either - so it made sense to adapt our Cap to the T3. It keeps the tent bellows dry, protects against weather, sun and UV and the roof is tight again - or, if it is still good, it retains the value of the original tent bellows.
Our roof cover, the so-called Cap, is not only the ideal solution if you want to go autumn or winter camping with the T3 but also protects against high indoor temperatures and rain in summer. With the window or the flap you have the perfect view - just the way you want it.
The colors:
Silver = goes well with all colors and is particularly good in heat (lower interior temperature when exposed to sunlight)
Anthracite = matches all dark colors
Dark blue = matches dark blue tones
Light blue = the right color for the self-confident camper
The Airtex fabric is characterized by its absolute impermeability to water, robustness and durability. The Cap and the insulating Cap effect give you optimal protection in bad and cold weather.
The Cap effect:
The cover creates a protective air cushion.
Effect 1: The permanently installed tent bellows no longer get wet.
Effect 2: The insulation effect of the air cushion.
Lower interior temperature in summer, less heat loss through the erected roof in winter.
A constant distance of approx. 4-6 cm between the hat and the roof ensures good ventilation without moisture build-up.
