A little introduction to the California Cap.
There are different installation heights of the VW roofs and different versions of the windows.
The electro-hydraulic pop-up roof - California Comfortline & Ocean

VW T5 California Comfortline:
From 2003 to the end of 2005, the windows were inserted in the tent bellows at an angle. The lower edge of the window follows the roof line of the pop-up roof. In January 2006 the windows were straightened, they follow the roof line (lower edge parallel to the floor) and the roof was given more height at the front. The last change was in 2008, the installation height was reduced and the windows remained straight - this change still applies to the current Ocean models T6 and T6.1.
This roof has a different roof geometry, this version was chosen for the California Beach and Coast models. So if you choose your cap, please order it to match your pop-up roof.
